Welcome to Mad Pride Toronto 2013: A Celebration of Madness from July 8th to July 14th,2013

The Mad Market Bizarre
Saturday, July 13th from 11am-5pm
CAMH lawn at Queen/Shaw (1001 Queen Street W, Toronto)
The Mad Market will go all out this year, some might say even Bizarre! There will be many mad goods for show and sale [t-shirts, buttons, mugs, key chains, artwork/sketches/paintings, crafts and handmade goods, jewelry, bead work, purses, cook books, comic books, books of art and writing, memoirs, academic books, knitting, baked goods (including vegan options!), zines, blogs, leaflets, Tarot readings]. Connect with various activist groups and obtain information about local consumer/survivor organizations. Join us in participatory movement exercises like yoga and Tai Chi. Have your portrait sketched. Bring your knitting or learn to knit with the Mad Knitters. | Cost of items varies from $1 to $50+. Cash only.

Sandra Higgins, Psychologist at The Compassion Foundation of Ireland “Compassion & Activism: how activists can manage the risk of burnout and use compassion to ensure that we are at peace while we work towards justice for others.” This talk takes place as part of the celebration of Creative Maladjustment week organised by Mind Freedom (IAACM) and the International Association for the Advancement of Creative Maladjustment to Animal Rights Violations and is hosted by Ruuts and Shuuts.
